Niall is a Director of Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners. He graduated in Engineering from DIT Bolton Street in Dublin in 1989. In 1993 Niall obtained Chartered Membership of Engineers Ireland and of the Institution of Structural Engineers, London. In 1998 Niall was a member of the Design Team which was awarded Excellence Award of ACEI for Structural Design, 1998 for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Hall. He was awarded the Mullins Silver Medal for best Paper to presented to IEI for paper on Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Hall. Niall has worked with CADS in UK developing structural engineering software and spent three years in Africa with Concern and UNICEF as Project Engineer on a wide variety of construction and engineering projects. He has also worked, on secondment to the Department of Foreign Affairs on short-term assignment. Niall specialises in Due Diligence projects for various corporate clients.

Gerry is a Director of Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners. He graduated with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Bolton Street College of Technology in 1977. In 1981 Gerry obtained Graduate Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers through Council of Engineering Institutions, London. In 1993, Gerry obtained Chartered Membership of Engineers Ireland. He worked as a graduate engineer with Thomas Garland and Partners and Preece Cardew & Ryder in design office between 1991 and 1988. He also has previous experience as working as a resident engineer. Gerry has also served as Council member of the Irish Concrete Society in the past. Gerry also has obtained the necessary professional experience, competence and specialist training to undertake Building Condition Assessments regarding possible pyritic heave.

Stephen Joined Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners in 1988 having previously worked for CKP Consultants Ltd. He completed a Diploma in Business Studies in the College of Commerce Rathmines in 1977 received a BSc(Mngt) from Trinity College in 1978. He qualified as an Accountant in 1984. He became a member of the Marketing Institute in 1989.

Jim Mansfield is a co-founder of Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners and now hold the positon of Executive Consultant. He graduated in Engineering from University College Dublin with a first class honours degree. He worked in private practice initially with Joseph McCullough & Partners and with Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners and its predecessor companies. He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of Engineers Ireland and Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland. He was project leader of the Design Team which received the 1998 ACEI Excellence Award for Structural Design on the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Hall. He was awarded the Mullins Silver Medal for the best Paper presented to the IEI on the design of the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Hall. He is actively involved in European and Irish committees on "Actions on Structures" and is chairman of the NSAI Eurocode Consultative Committee, a member of the NSAI Construction Standards Committee a past chairman of the Irish Concrete Society. Jim has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of Structural and Civil Engineering and has undertaken expert witness roles in many legal disputes.

Jack is a co-founder of Kavanagh Mansfield & Partners. He graduated in Civil Engineering from UCD in 1964. He obtained a post graduate degree from UCD in 1966. Jack has a wealth of affiliations of high merit including a Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineering, Engineers Ireland, the Institution of Civil Engineers (London), the Institution of Structural Engineers (London) and honorary Fellow of the Irish Computer Society. His achievements in the Engineering industry are well recognised being a past president of the Institution of Engineers Ireland and the Association of Consulting Engineers Ireland. He is also a past chairman of the Construction Industry Council of Ireland, Institution of Engineers of Ireland / Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland construction safety regulations committee. In 1987, Jack was decorated with the ‘Institution Prize’ of the Institution of Engineers Ireland in recognition of his achievements demonstrating his exceptional engineering skills. Jack is a recognised authority on designers’ health and safety duties. He was a member of the HSA Construction Advisory Committee was a member of the drafting committee for the HAS Guidelines to Construction Regulations. Jack has lectured widely on the issues involved. His Designing for Safety in Construction manual was adapted by the European Federation of Consulting Engineering Associations (EFCA) and the Architects Council of Europe (ACE) to become a Europe wide guidance manual for designers, published in September 2006. Jack was also a drafting member of Eurocodes 1991-2-7.
